She also interned at McKendree Simms Brookland UMC in Washington, DC, where she assisted with community outreach, provided pastoral care for its members, and started a new ministry for adults aged 40-55 that focused on the importance of a path to wholeness.

In 2021, Rev. Strickland received her Master’s in Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Currently, Rev.
